Itinerary Highlights

Day 01: Arrival at Paro—Transfer to Punakha

Fly to Paro International Airport. Meet our local representative upon arrival. Enjoy lunch at Paro with one sightseeing stop if time permits. After lunch, drive towards Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100m), where you can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Eastern Himalayas. Overnight in Punakha.

Day 02: Punakha – Thimphu

After breakfast, visit Punakha Dzong and the Suspension Bridge. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Punakha. After lunch, visit Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple). Optional white-water rafting can be arranged (excluded from package). Later, drive towards Thimphu via Dochula Pass. Overnight in Thimphu.

Day 03: Thimphu – Paro

After breakfast, visit Buddha Point, the Takin Zoo, and Tashichhoe Dzong viewpoint. Later, drive towards Paro and have lunch in Paro town. After lunch, visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong) and enjoy a leisurely stroll through Paro town for handicraft and souvenir shopping. Overnight in Paro

Day 04: Paro – Excursion to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

Early morning hike to the world-famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliff at 3,120m. For those not hiking, an optional day excursion can be arranged to Chelela Pass, Rinpung Dzong viewpoint, and the BPC Museum. In the afternoon, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. In the evening, enjoy a cultural show. Overnight in Paro.

Day 05: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Paro Airport or Phuentsholing for your onward journey with sweet memories of Bhutan.
